Skeena Cellulose Inc
Skeena Cellulose Inc. was a forest products company with a large pulp mill based on Watson Island in Prince Rupert. Built in 1951 by Columbia Cellulose, it was subsequently owned by Repap Enterprises of Montreal. It had to be rescued by the provincial government in 1997 when it faced bankruptcy. The province became majority owner of the pulp mill, which was Prince Rupert's largest employer. The mill closed in 2001.
