A Rocha Canada
A Rocha is an international Christian organization which, inspired by God’s love, engages in scientific research, environmental education, community-based conservation projects and sustainable agriculture. A Rocha’s mission is to live out God’s calling to care for creation and equip others to do likewise. We envision a hope-filled world where communities flourish as people and nature thrive together. A Rocha’s work in Northern BC supports a community of environmental stewards who live in this beautiful area. With vast, rich ecosystems and few people, environmental degradation can happen without anyone knowing. That’s why A Rocha is planted here: to encourage, connect and champion grassroots creation care. The Buck Creek Canfor Hatchery and Nature Centre is a project of A Rocha Canada. Within the town limits of Houston, BC the facility focuses on nature education and habitat restoration of the Upper Bulkley Watershed from the confluence of Morice River and the Bulkley River to the headwaters through a small coho salmon hatchery and interpretive centre.
