This project is funded by the Forest Investment Account (FIA) through Gitxsan Forest Enterprises Inc. and is administered by Kingfisher Forest Sciences Co. Ltd. The intent of the project is to collect stream crossing information on a watershed basis for potential sediment input (WQEE), safe fish passage (FPCI) and fish habitat quality and quantity (FHAP). Where problems are identified, prescriptions providing appropriate treatments and rehabilitation measures are to be prepared. A secondary objective of the project was to identify opportunities for qualified Gitxsan contractors and individuals to engage in watershed enhancement opportunities.
