2023 WATER QUALITY MONITORING IN THE MORICE WATERSHED

This dataset includes field sheets and the Certificate of Analysis for surface water quality grab samples. Five weekly samples were taken over a period of 30 days in spring and fall/winter of 2023 at Gosnell Creek, Shea Creek, Crystal Creek and Morice River. Monthly sampling occurred at Nanika River, McBride Creek, Cutthroat Creek, Gosnell Creek, Shea Creek and Crystal Creek from May to November. Winter sampling continued at priority sites Shea Creek, Gosnell Creek, Crystal Creek and Morice River. An additional summer sample was taken at Morice Lake in August. Since 2015, the Morice Water Monitoring Trust has carried out a systematic water quality monitoring program to establish water quality baseline conditions and understand spatial and seasonal variability in the Morice Water Management Area.
